From the beautiful shorelines of Angola, this mask is a very powerful item among the Chokwe people. The Chikunga is only used for inaugural ceremonies of a new Chief and for sacrificial ceremonies to the Ancestors. Only the current Chief may wear the mask.
Small cracks, discoloration, etc. are a normal part of the ageing process and add to the character of each item.
Comes with a wall fitting for easy wall mounting.
